CUTTAP PRIVACY
Your media stays on your device.
CutTap is designed to process the videos, images and voice recordings you use with Go Big 1.0 inside your browser, on your device. We do not intentionally upload your media files to CutTap servers. Account, purchase and export-credit information is handled separately as described below.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the CutTap website, CutTap accounts and the Go Big 1.0 product offered through CutTap. It does not control the privacy practices of Google, Clerk, Stripe, your device maker, your browser or a cloud-file provider you choose to use.
Media processing
When you select a video or image, Go Big 1.0 opens and processes it on your device. Voice memo audio is also handled on your device. Exports are created in the browser and passed to your browser or operating system for saving. CutTap does not use your media for advertising or AI training.
If you choose a file from Google Drive, iCloud or another cloud provider through your device's file picker, that provider and your device may transfer the file to your device. Their terms and privacy policies apply to that transfer. Once the file is available to Go Big 1.0, CutTap's media processing remains local as described above.
Account information
Google sign-in is provided through Clerk. Clerk and Google process the information needed to authenticate you, which may include your name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, device information and sign-in security data. CutTap receives a stable Clerk user identifier so it can link your account to your access rights. The sign-in interface may also display basic profile details supplied by Clerk.
Purchases, access and export credits
Stripe processes checkout and payment details. CutTap does not receive your full payment-card number. We store records needed to confirm and restore purchases, including your CutTap account identifier, Stripe customer, checkout and payment references, the item purchased, amount, currency, payment status and relevant timestamps.
We also store your export-credit balance, credit additions and uses, Go Big 1.0 lifetime-access status, checkout attempts and unique request identifiers used to prevent a payment or export from being counted twice. For the one-time welcome offer, we separately store remaining five-second and 10-second export attempts. Recordings and exports up to three seconds do not use an export attempt or credit. At launch, CutTap offers one-time purchases only; there is no recurring subscription.
Connection and security information
Our hosting, database and security providers may process ordinary technical data needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, browser and device information, request metadata, security events and server logs. This data does not include the media you load into Go Big 1.0.
Why we use information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To provide, count and restore credits and product access.
- To process purchases, refunds, disputes and support requests.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate transactions.
- To operate, troubleshoot and protect CutTap.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
We share only the information needed for the service with providers that perform specific jobs for us: Clerk and Google for authentication, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for hosting, security and database infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies and similar storage
CutTap and its providers may use cookies or local browser storage that are necessary for sign-in, security, checkout and device preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies or advertising trackers.
Retention
We keep account, credit and entitlement records while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide or restore what you bought. Purchase, fraud-prevention and transaction records may be retained longer where needed for tax, accounting, dispute or legal obligations. Clerk, Google, Stripe and Cloudflare retain information under their own policies and our service settings.
Your choices and rights
You control the original and exported media through your device. You may ask us to access, correct or delete CutTap account information, or exercise other privacy rights available where you live. Account deletion can end access to remaining credits and purchased access, and we may retain limited transaction records where the law requires or permits it. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
International processing and security
Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, using the safeguards required for their services. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account and transaction data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
CutTap is not intended for children who cannot lawfully create an online account or purchase digital services in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.
